Catalogs and Publications
The USCS offers a number of catalogs and publications related to the collection and study of naval covers. This includes the Catalog of Naval Postmarks (5th ed.), and the Naval Cachet Makers Catalog Vol. I, both of which are the fundamental references for the hobby. Other catalogs have more specific subject matter, such as those for the frigate CONSTITUTION, and NS SAVANNAH. The USCS LOGS and BULLETINS are great for research, as are the Reference Collections. For USCS Members, you’ll see that prices have been discounted. Non-members are welcome to purchase items, but it may be worthwhile to first consider joining USCS.
LOOKING FOR ENVELOPES? The USCS is no longer selling envelopes for cachets directly. However, you can purchase them from Karl Zurn, and USCS will still benefit from the sale.
